2023 Boat Tours Update: Boat tour reservations are now available for tours 8/21/2023 – 9/17/2023. Please note boat tours are not offered on 9/9 and 9/16 due to the Ride the Rim biking event.
Take in the Views from the Lake!
The best way to see Crater Lake is by boat! For visitors seeking to explore Wizard Island, we offer either a boat cruise or a quick shuttle ride straight to the island. There is a 2.2-mile round-trip trail (down to the boat dock and back) that drops approximately 700 ft. Due to the strenuous nature of this trail, we do not recommend these tours to anyone with medical or physical issues. The hike down to the dock takes approximately 30-45 minutes.

Standard Lake Cruise
Take a leisure 2-hour boat cruise around Crater Lake. Get up close views of Wizard Island, Phantom Ship, and other natural formations.

Wizard Island Tours
Cruise around the perimeter of Crater Lake and spend some time on Wizard Island. You'll be able to hike, swim, and take in the panoramic views.

Wizard Island Shuttle
Ditch the cruise and shuttle straight to Wizard Island. Spend some time on Wizard Island hiking, swimming and fishing. Learn More >
